Job Title: Training Officer (Caregiving)

Reports To: Program Director

Duration: 2 years with 3 months of probation period

The Institute is also committed to facilitating employment opportunities alongside providing professional skill training like caregiving, childcare, Daycare management, domestic housekeeping, computer operations, digital marketing, food & beverage services and others.

Job Purpose:

Ensure trainee mobilization, assist in management and delivery of quality training for decent jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic (10%):

    • Conduct training needs assessment among service providers to identify new areas of training
    • Assist Program to prepare a 3 year training strategy and implementation plan
    • Maintain strict confidentiality of information, documents and other internal and external communications.
    • Contribute to strengthen and protect the goodwill, credibility and reputation of the institution.
    • Carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the authority as and when necessary.

Operational (70%):

    • Based on implementation plan develop monthly and yearly training calendar and ensure its effective execution.
    • Develop need based training curriculum and module on identified new training areas.
    • Ensure high quality training and teaching-learning materials as per the approved curricula.
    • Prepare lesson and session plans for effective training in accordance with competency standard and curricula.
    • Conduct theory and practical classes according to approved curricula.
    • Supervise classroom conduct and provide guidance for improvement of management and learning.
    • Prepare (monthly, quarterly, six monthly and annual) reports and ensure proper documentation and follow up of recommendations.
    • Support Training Officer to plan and conduct the sessions.
    • Develop tools and conduct evaluations of trainers by learners and also competency-based assessments.
    • Continuously improve techniques to make training relevant to market demands.
    • Assist to ensure maintaining trainee tracking system, program database and timely reporting.
    • Conduct formative and summative assessment of the students & check assessment sheet properly.
    • Assist to ensure occupational health and safety standards and compliance are well understood and adhered to; all students are properly using occupation specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at training workshops and necessary attitude and behavioral changes in regard to decent work are taking place.
    • Assist to maintain discipline within classroom and school premise and take necessary action in this regard.

People Management(20%):

    • Assist to identify the low-achiever and give proper attention necessary to help them to reach required competency standard.
    • Develop and implement growth chart of each learner.
    • Participate in the performance management process, proactively identify gaps and potentials and contribute to staff development activities.
    • Establish and maintain an open, dignified and constructive relationship with students and colleagues.

Essential Requirements:

  • BSc or Diploma in Nursing or equivalent degree Must have CBT&A – level – 4 ( NSDA )
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant professional experience in training institute.
  • Must have Dementia caregiving level -3 skills ( NSDA)
  • Ability to manage potentially challenging behavior from trainees and maintain professionalism.
  • Good command on communication skills in both Bangla and English.
  • Good computer operating skill & conversant with MS Words, Excel, Power Point and others.
  • Age limit for the applicant would be within 30- 45 years. Management has the right to make exceptions based on qualifications.
