Consultancy Opportunity: Business Development & Resource Mobilization Consultant

BISDHA Foundation is seeking a qualified Business Development and Resource Mobilization Consultant to develop a realistic and actionable business plan and mobilize resources from the private sector, including Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, corporate sponsors, foundations, and individual donors.

The consultant will support program expansion and long-term financial sustainability through strategic fundraising and partnership development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a comprehensive business plan for the social enterprise unit (skilled and vocational training and job placement services).
  2. Design and implement a private-sector fundraising and resource mobilization strategy.
  3. Identify, research, and engage corporate donors, CSR funds, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals.
  4. Prepare high-quality funding proposals, concept notes, pitch decks, and sponsorship packages.
  5. Lead donor outreach, meetings, negotiations, and partnership development initiatives.
  6. Facilitate CSR agreements and corporate sponsorship arrangements.
  7. Develop and maintain a donor pipeline and track engagement, commitments, and follow-ups.
  8. Coordinate with program and management teams to align funding proposals with organizational priorities.
  9. Submit regular progress updates and a comprehensive final consultancy report.

 

Key Deliverables:

  1. Business Plan for the social enterprise unit (skilled and vocational training and job placement services).
  2. Private-sector fundraising and resource mobilization strategy.
  3. Donor pipeline and engagement tracking tool.
  4. Fundraising materials (proposals, presentations, sponsorship packages).
  5. Mobilization of the minimum agreed funding target.
  6. Documented CSR partnerships and sponsorship agreements.
  7. Periodic progress reports and final consultancy reports.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Development Studies, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  2. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, business development, or resource mobilization.
  3. Proven track record of securing private-sector or CSR funding.
  4. Strong proposal writing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to independently manage and grow corporate relationships.
  6. Experience in the nonprofit or development sector is an added advantage.

 

Remuneration: Negotiable, based on experience and performance.
